Representative Junie Joseph, D-Bouder, who attended the event, faced additional scrutiny, but told Fox News Digital to condemn anti-Semitism.
“Sunday was a deeply painful day for our community. My heart is with the victims of Boulder’s attack and all those affected. I unequivocally condemned the hatred and violence of all forms, including anti -Semitism and Islamophobia,” Joseph said in an email to Fox News Digital.
“ I have heard concerns about my attendance at a private event for the Ilhan Omar congressman. I originally invited me to present -in a young Democrats event focused on youth commitment, which I care deeply. When I couldn’t attend, I chose to host it in a separate meeting, as a matter of civic courtesy and respect, ” he continued.
