DNC Trolls Trump on rates with a free “Taco” truck parked at RNC headquarters

NutNow you can listen to the Fox News items!

First on the fox: The Democratic National Committee parked a new food truck covered in front of the Republican National Committee’s headquarters on Washington, DC, on Tuesday

The truck itself, rented by the party, was tailored to the photos of the president himself, and those inside threw a free lunch option and the mouth to the passersby. But those in Washington know that there is no free meal. And it is certainly the case here, because the food truck in question is a taco truck: a smart and political provocation that affects the rates, which the DNC considers as one of the most vulnerable areas of Trump around 2026.

The rent and personalization of the DNC of the Taco truck, as well as their plans to deliver the Trump Tacos Free Trump to the passersby, was prevented exclusively to Fox News Digital. We want to take the acronym Taco, or “Trump always chicken”, to cause Trump’s anger. The phrase was created by Wall Street analysts when referring to Trump’s fare policies, and more specifically, and proposed the vision that Trump will resort to the strong reciprocal rates he announced in April, which are currently playing in federal courts.

Beyond presenting a moral Quagmire to Hill’s hungry employees and other Hill employees, DNC officials told Fox News to see the truck as an effective way to draw attention to Trump’s fare policies, who described as “playing games with working families.”

“Trump always chicken: We only bring tacos to match,” Ken Martin told Fox News News, told Fox News about effort.

“Instead of realizing that its fare chaos is destroying the economy, Trump continues to drag America to cheaper pain and the rest of the world sees Trump exactly for what it is: a chicken,” he added.

Food Truck comes when Trump’s power to promote the rates that has been subjected to legal scrutiny. There is also an open question if the administration would advance in the harsh import rates.

The secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent, acknowledged previously that the threat of rates could be used as a negotiation tactic or a salvation of opening for future commercial conversations, included between the United States and China, and described Trump’s uncertainty in the process of last week journalists as a means of “ strategic influence on negotiations. ”

From this writing, three separate federal courts weigh the use of Trump by the International Economic Economic Powers Act (IEEEPA) to defend the harsh import rates. The Plan, which Trump announced on April 2, invokes IEEEPA both for its 10% initial rate to the majority of trade members in the United States and for a so -called “reciprocal rate” against other countries.

The administration has appealed to two lower court decisions that blocked the use of the law to enact or threaten to promulgate the harsh fees. Last week, the United States Court of Appeal of the Federal Circuit maintained a lower court order of the United States International Court of Commerce, allowing Trump’s fare policy to continue for the moment while the court continues to investigate the merit of the case. Two other lower legal challenges are kept in flow.

In the meantime, however, the Taco Moniker has put himself under the President’s skin. Last week, Trump exploded a journalist who asked him about the sentence, describing -as a “unpleasant question”.

“Never say what you said,” Trump told the journalist. “For me, this is the most unpleasant question,” he said. “I left, Oh, I have never heard it,” Trump said, emphasizing that lowering the rates was part of a “negotiation” ongoing with China.

He continued: “You mean, because I reduced the 145% China I set to 100 and then to another number? I said,” You have to open your whole country. ”

Democrats are using the truck to take advantage of what they see as a clear place for the President and a way to link Trump more directly to any uncertainty and agitation of the market that has reached due to the rates.

It occurs when the party has struggled to coalize a unifying message after the 2024 election.

The party has been criticized for not taking advantage of Elon Musk’s departure from his official role in the Trump administration at the end of May, and focusing his energy to attack intrapartia strategies and members of the DNC Council, instead of passing after the RNC more widely.

The Republican National Committee, on the other hand, erased the truck in question, as well as the idea that affected voters or RNC staff in the planned manner. The truck itself was parked outside the church of Saint Peters, on a block of the building itself.

“LMFAO. A taco truck?” Zach Parkinson, the RNC communications director, told Fox News Digital in a statement.

“They will also give again free? These people are morons,” he said, adding: “It is not surprising that the Democrats’ approval rating is in a historic minimum.”

Taco truck acrobatics indicates a change in strategy as Democrats take on a more Trump approach to political attacks before the middle of 2026, but some of their efforts have lost their brand.

Earlier this week, conservative commentators aimed at a Tiktok published by representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA), in which he was filled by eating a taco to try to make fun of Trump’s tariff strategy, with some declaring him “Crrellyworthy”.

DNC officials did not answer Fox News Digital questions as to whether the party plans to follow the fare strategy beyond the taco truck, or if he considers these problems as a way to counteract Trump and their allies with red state voters in the media and beyond.
